Mark Bolton

Owner & Founder

mark@wwestmoto.com

Mark Bolton has spent a lifetime chasing the good stuff — the kind of adventure that smells like pine, dust, jet fuel, and possibility. He cut his teeth on dirt bikes, graduated to technical singletrack, and eventually took on the infamous Tour of Idaho because… of course he did.

His path hasn’t exactly been straight. One minute he’s on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier, the next he’s working offshore rigs, building telecom networks in China, or standing on top of twelve Colorado 14ers wondering what route he can explore next. He’s mountain-biked the Rockies for more than 25 years, dipped a toe (or tire) into car and drag racing, and even trekked to Everest Base Camp for good measure.

If there’s a common theme, it’s this: Mark is wired for exploration. Two wheels, four wheels, no wheels — he just loves the adventure. And that relentless curiosity is exactly what he brings to every Waypoints West tour..

Trevor Bolton

Trevor Bolton doesn’t sit still — and honestly, we’re not sure he ever has. He started drag racing at eight years old, because apparently “normal childhood hobbies” weren’t exciting enough. By fourteen, he’d earned his Eagle Scout rank, already showing the kind of leadership and outdoor savvy most riders don’t pick up until much later.

At seventeen, he trekked to Everest Base Camp — just casually adding “the Himalayas” to his résumé — and he’s been stacking adventures ever since. Dirt bikes, mountain bikes, rock climbing… if it involves grit, skill, and a little bit of risk, Trevor’s in.

He’s also a wild-land firefighter, which tells you everything you need to know about his character: steady under pressure, tough as nails, and committed to protecting others.

Now at 23, Trevor brings that same fearless energy and passion for the outdoors to Waypoints West. He rides hard, laughs easy, and inspires everyone around him to push just a little further down the trail..

Erin Barajas

Erin brings a rare mix of creative talent and adventure grit to the Waypoints crew. When she’s not shaping the stories behind our rides, she’s out chasing her own — usually somewhere in the mountains with her husband and two teenage boys, a camera in hand, and a camp chair that’s seen a lot of miles.

Her love of exploration fuels her work and her photography, giving everything she touches that spark of real-world adventure. Erin doesn’t just help tell the Waypoints story — she lives it.

Why waypoints west moto adventures

We’re a family-owned crew of moto addicts who know that a great ride doesn’t happen by accident — it takes planning, experience, and the kind of attention to detail you only get from people who genuinely love this stuff. Waypoints West Moto grew out of a lifetime of chasing adventure and learning the highs, lows, and “well… that was unexpected” moments that come with it. Our mission is simple: over-deliver every time so you can’t wait to ride with us again.

Based in Berthoud, Colorado, we’re an hour north of Denver and just a scenic 45-minute rip up Big Thompson Canyon from Rocky Mountain National Park.

With a passion for two wheels and decades exploring the mountains and deserts of the West, we’re here to share the routes we love and the adventures that keep us coming back. Come ride with us — the mountains are calling.

A post from a friend in ADV Rider:

“The pic of the bike only is on the Geyser Pass road at at elevation on 10,650 feet. It was 98 degrees in Moab and 51 degrees at the pass. That was a cool experience; pun intended!”
