Hot springs ascent Tour Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival
Welcome to the adventure! Meet your crew, get acquainted with your fellow riders, and make sure your bike and navigation are ready for the days ahead.
We'll get the details squared away so you can focus on what matters: the ride.
Day 1: Grand Junction - Glenwood Springs
We're not easing into this one.
The adventure starts with a 5,000-foot climb up the gravel switchbacks of Lands End Road to the top of Grand Mesa. From there, it's a mix of alpine dirt, scenic pavement, and incredible views before dropping into the North Fork Valley.
We'll wind through the aspens of McClure Pass, follow the Crystal River Valley, and make our way to Glenwood Springs.
The reward? Your first evening of hot springs relaxation. Not a bad way to kick things off.
Day 2: Glenwood Springs - Mt. Princeton
Today we're borrowing some of the best riding from the Colorado BDR — in reverse.
Following the Fryingpan River past Ruedi Reservoir, we'll climb into the high country and cross Hagerman Pass near 12,000 feet. Historic railroad routes, alpine lakes, and mountain views make this one seriously memorable.
After rolling through Leadville, we'll tackle Weston Pass before heading south toward Mt. Princeton Hot Springs.
Another great day in the saddle. Another excellent excuse to soak those riding muscles.
Day 3: Mt. Princeton - Ouray
This is the big one.
We start with spectacular pavement over Cottonwood Pass, through Taylor Park, and toward Lake City. Enjoy the scenery, because the afternoon turns up the adventure.
Cinnamon Pass takes us above 12,600 feet with rocky, loose terrain and the kind of views that make you forget how hard you're working. We'll descend past the historic Animas Forks ghost town into Silverton before riding the legendary Million Dollar Highway into Ouray.
Technical riding, incredible mountain scenery, and a finish in one of Colorado's most famous hot springs towns.
You earned this soak. Trust us.
Day 4: Ouray - Grand Junction
One last big dirt day before we call it a wrap.
After taking in the spectacular Sneffels Range from Dallas Divide, we'll climb onto the Uncompahgre Plateau for a remote ride through aspen groves, ponderosa forests, and miles of backcountry roads.
With no towns or services along the plateau, we'll pack a trailside lunch and enjoy the solitude before descending toward Grand Junction.
Four days, hundreds of miles, three hot springs destinations, and a whole lot of stories to take home.
Sore muscles? Probably. Regrets? Not likely.

-
This ride is best suited for experienced intermediate to advanced ADV riders. Most of the route features manageable dirt roads and scenic pavement, but Cinnamon Pass includes rocky, loose, and technical terrain at high altitude. You'll want solid off-road skills and confidence handling your motorcycle on mountain passes.
-
Yes! Hot springs admission at our planned destinations is included, so you can finish your ride and enjoy some well-earned relaxation.
-
Colorado mountain weather can change quickly, especially above 12,000 feet. Safety always comes first. Our crew monitors conditions and may adjust routes when weather, snow, or trail closures make a planned section unsafe.
-
You don't need to be a professional racer, but you should be comfortable riding rocky terrain, managing your bike on steep grades, and navigating loose surfaces. If you're unsure about your experience level, give us a call and we'll talk through the route together.
-
A capable, street-legal adventure or dual-sport motorcycle with appropriate off-road tires is recommended. Riders should be comfortable handling their bike on rocky, uneven terrain. Not bringing your own motorcycle? Ask us about rental options.
-
We'll talk through the challenging sections before riding them. Alternate routes may be available depending on the location and conditions, but they aren't guaranteed. Our goal is to make sure everyone understands the terrain before committing to it.
-
We keep our adventures small, with a maximum of eight riders. That means more personal attention, less waiting around, and a better experience for everyone.
