Built for Riders Like You
Waypoints West SD Buffalo Run is a great fit if:
You ride an ADV motorcycle and want long, rewarding backcountry days
You’re comfortable on pavement and confident riding dirt roads and two-track
You value route planning, navigation support, and smart decision-making
You enjoy remote riding balanced with classic small-town stops and real beds
This is not the best fit if:
You’re brand new to riding or uncomfortable on dirt
You’re looking for extreme single-track or race-pace days
If you’re not sure, we’ll talk it through. That’s what we do.
You’ll carve through the famous Needles Highway, ride Iron Mountain Road with its legendary pigtail bridges and tunnel views toward Mount Rushmore, and wind through Spearfish Canyon past limestone walls, waterfalls, and some of the most beautiful pavement in South Dakota.
The Dakota Buffalo Run is our signature Black Hills adventure — four days of handcrafted riding through one of America’s most dramatic motorcycle landscapes.
We mixed the best segments of the renowned South Dakota BDRx with seldom-traveled dirt roads and remote two-tracks most riders never find on their own. The result is the ultimate Black Hills trek: scenic, wild, smartly connected, and packed with the kind of riding that makes you forget what day it is.
You’ll ride famous roads like Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, and Spearfish Canyon — but the real magic happens between them. That’s where our route scouting comes in. We use quiet dirt connectors, forest roads, fire tower climbs, remote overlooks, and hidden two-track to show you the Black Hills beyond the tourist map.
