Wyoming Motorcycle Tour FAQs
-
Wyoming riding weather can be tricky. The best time to ride is the summer months to avoid snow runoff and possible snow or ice on the route. We begin our Colorado tours in July and last Colorado tour in September to avoid this.

Yes, every tour we offer, including our Wyoming tours are guided. All tours with over 4 people will also include a sweep rider.

The best motorcycle for tours like ours is the one you feel the most confident on. As long as the bike can traverse the kind of terrain we ride, all bikes are welcome. For more details on specifics, check out our rider expectations page. In general, all bikes must be highway legal, have 100-250 miles of fuel range, and be capable of riding on dirt.
Our favorite is the KTM 890, or Aprilia Tuareg 660. These bikes fit the most people, are the most capable, and offer superior comfort. Bikes like the BMW GS 1200 are larger and are better suited to beginner level rides. The smaller class of bikes like the CF Moto 450, or Husky 501 are better suited to advanced rides, and can be less comfortable on county roads or pavement. Whether you have a smaller, or larger bike, all are great for adventure motorcycle tours.
